A savory and spicy Korean-inspired fried rice made with leftover rice, vegetables, and a bold kick from KA-ME Korean BBQ Sauce with Gochujang. Quick to cook and packed with umami flavor.
Ingredients
3 cups cooked day-old jasmine rice
1 cup cooked beef, pork, or chicken (diced)
2 tbsp vegetable oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 onion, diced
1/2 cup carrots, diced
1/2 cup frozen peas or corn
2 green onions, sliced
1 egg (optional)
-
1/3 cup of Spicy Korean BBQ with Gochujang Sauce
Directions
Heat oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
Add garlic and onion and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Add carrots and cook another 1–2 minutes until slightly softened.
Add cooked meat and stir-fry briefly.
Push ingredients to one side and scramble the egg if using.
Add rice and break apart clumps, stirring everything together.
Pour in the KA-ME Spicy Korean BBQ Sauce and stir-fry for 2–3 minutes until evenly coated and heated through.
Finish with green onions and a drizzle of sesame oil before serving.
Recipe Note
• Day-old rice works best because it is drier and fries better.
• Add kimchi for extra flavor and a classic Korean twist.
• Top with a fried egg and sesame seeds for a traditional finish.
• For an even quicker meal, heat frozen fried rice or microwave rice and toss with KA-ME Spicy Korean BBQ Sauce and pre-cooked protein for a fast, flavorful upgrade.
